Your account data.

FEYNT uses your email to identify your account and your password to authenticate you. Your display name and the arguments you publish are public. Your email, saved reads, follows and personal predictions are private.

What is saved

Your preferences and contributions are stored in FEYNT’s database. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. We also keep limited, hashed counters to restrict repeated login attempts and spam. Local browser storage is used for interactive example and replay controls.

Recovery

Email ownership is not verified in this release. Keep the recovery code shown when you register. Using it changes your password, replaces the code and signs out existing sessions. We do not currently send password-reset emails or newsletters.

Where it lives

The site runs on Render, with a Neon database and Cloudflare media storage. Database backups are held separately in private Cloudflare storage. GitHub runs the backup workflow. Public editorial images and published contributions can be viewed by anyone with the link.

Your controls

You can remove your own contributions in each discussion, export saved activity, and permanently delete your account from account settings. Deletion removes your active account records and contributions; copies already included in backups remain until those backups are removed. Avoid putting sensitive personal information into public posts.

Moderation

Reports are visible to FEYNT’s editors. Editors can hide a reported contribution or restore it after review. Other readers cannot see who reported it.
